Operation Christmas Child (Shoebox Ministry)
It is time once again to begin gathering goodies for the “shoeboxes” to send to Samaritan’s Purse. Let’s see if we can exceed 45 boxes this year! Information is posted on bulletin boards; colored brochures ARE HERE! Boxes will be blessed and sent off on Sunday, November 15. If you have questions or need a shoebox, see Gloria B. or Ruth W. Thank you for your efforts on behalf of those children who don’t receive anything else but this shoebox at Christmas.

Crafts, Bake Sale, Vendors, Breakfast, Lunch, Quilt Raffle, Holiday Room
There will definitely be something for everyone. Come out to browse, fellowship and share a meal. Hope to see you there !
UMW Proceeds from this day will help fund our 2010 Scholarship Fund for Liberty High School and other outreach projects. This event will also be a fund-raiser for the UMM & the trustees!
There will be breakfast, lunch, a bake sale and lots of nice gifts to buy for yourself or someone on your Christmas list.

Opportunities to Study God’s Word in Depth
The upstairs Adult Sunday school class is studying the book “Lord, Change My Attitude Before It’s Too Late” by James MacDonald. All are welcome.
Weekly Tuesday Bible Study is studying the book by Kay Arthur entitled “God’s Love Alive In You” based on the books of 1, 2, 3, John, James and Philemon.
The Adult Sunday School class that meets in the basement on Sunday mornings is studying, the book of James. Everyone welcome.

Weekly Prayer and Meditation
The sanctuary is open two evenings each week (Tuesday and Friday) from 7 – 9 p.m. for private meditation and prayer in the quiet of the Sanctuary. An invitation is extended to all. Please come when and as you are able, spend whatever time your schedule allows, and prosper through personal communication with God through the Holy Spirit . The Fredericksburg United Methodist Church will host its Bazaar on Saturday, November 7, 2009 from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. It will be held in Kobler Hall at the church. The church address is 308 Hanover Street in downtown Fredericksburg, but please use the Charlotte Street parking lot entrance behind the church. All proceeds will benefit the programs and mission projects of the church.
A light breakfast (8:30 to 10:00) and lunch (11:00-1:00) will be available for purchase.
Areas include: Unique handmade gifts; decorated clothing; American Girl clothes; needlework; Christmas shoppe; wooden decorations; children-teen shop; country store; next-to-new items; cookie walk; and a large selection of baked goods.
The silent auction of unique hand-made wreaths will end at noon on the day of the bazaar.
