Introit - Bringing the Light of Christ into the Sanctuary
A time for meditation as we prepare our hearts for worship
Call to Worship (Responsively) (Acts 9, Psalm 30)
Leader: Great winds drive us across the sky,
People: opening our hearts to the promise of each day.
Leader: The Spirit moves in our lives,
People: turning our mourning into dancing.
Leader: Weeping may last the night,
People: but joy comes with the morning.
Leader: Great winds drive us across the sky,
People: opening our hearts to the promise of each day.
Opening Prayer (Unison) (Acts 9, John 21)
Lord of Life, You meet us on the road and shake the very foundations of our lives. Remove the scales from our eyes, that we may see Your Spirit in beliefs foreign to our own; that we may see the sheep of Your pasture in every culture we encounter; that we may see the dawn of Your love, in every morning’s sunrise. Fill us with Your Spirit, that we may love one another as Our shepherd has loved us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
