   Morrisville United Methodist Benevolence Fund

             Dedicated to serving those in need.  The Benevolence Fund is maintained through  contributions and managed to ensure that assistance goes directly to those in need.  Monthly expenditures help to pay for food, electricity and temporary safe shelters for those in need.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Morrisville United Methodist Women's Group
             Our UMW is a very active group of women who meet once a month to plan for activities that support annual scholarship awards to Liberty High School Students and a variety of missionary causes.  The annual Women's Bazzar is held in the fall and features crafts, food and quilts just in time for Christmas gift planning!
PURPOSE OF UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
UMW PRAYER
Lord, may we ourselves know, and make known to others,
Thy boundless love and
peace that comes only from knowing Thee.
Amen.
CROP Hunger Walk
Volunteers request monetary donations and walk a six mile course to represent supporters.  "We walk because they walk"...'millions of people around the world walk every day for food, for shelter, for water, for survival."  Ours is a symbolic walk to financially support the community-based group raising money for local hunger-fighting agencies as well as the international relief and development efforts of Church World Service.   Please visit the web site above for more information.
  Rising Hope United Methodist Mission Church
About Rising Hope
Rising Hope United Methodist Mission Church is a small church with a big mission. Chartered in 1996, the church ministers in the name of Christ to the spiritual and practical needs of the most at-risk people on the Route 1 Corridor south of Alexandria. Our members come from all walks of life including the many broken, homeless and destitute we are called to serve. We strive to be welcoming and empowering of all, as we offer the living waters of the Gospel to those most thirsty for healing.
    Ministering to the Whole Person
Spiritual and Material
The hungry are being fed. The needy are being clothed. The homeless are being sheltered. Children are being brought to Jesus. The gospel is being preached to all.
Jesus Said, "As you do unto the least of these you do unto me.
 Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. This program of Samaritan’s Purse provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ, God’s greatest gift. Along with shoe box gifts, millions of children are given Gospel booklets in their own language. In 2003, we collected over 6.6 million shoe box gifts worldwide and distributed them to children in some 95 countries.
Every year the Morrisville United Methodist Church family starts to save and fill shoe boxes for this wonderful cause.
